Mimi G. Talks Nothing But S.H.E.T.!

10:00 AM

Those of us that have been blogging for a long time have witnessed the evolution of Mimi Goodwin of Mimi G Style. It's been an amazing journey to witness. Her latest venture is a podcast where she is talking straight up S.H.E.T.! The name of the podcast is "Business S.H.E.T.". S.H.E.T. (pronounced like shit) is a really cheeky play on words, that I love... because I'm cheeky! It's an acronym meaning -- SOLVE a problem, HELP your customer/followers get passed their current stage, EARN respect, and build TRUST.

In episode 1, she introduces herself to those that don't know her story. Her tone is REAL. It's like having a convo with your girlfriend over drinks or at the kitchen table while she is helping to put you on. She breaks her credentials and achievements all the way down, so you understand that she knows what she's talking about and that she's been doing this for a while. See, my opinion is this -- everyone and their momma is out pushing how to launch a successful and profitable blogging business or how to become an entrepreneur, when they really don't have a history of longevity themselves. I've always felt that if you want to grow apples, then talk to someone that has had success AND failure at growing apples. Just because you tried growing apples and had a decent harvest once upon a season, does not make a successful apple grower. I want to hear the real S.H.E.T. from someone that has been successful, failed, had to start from scratch, fucked that up too, redirected and climbed their way back, etc...

Episode 2I really enjoyed this episode because you see that she's really starting to get into the meat of what it takes to become an entrepreneur. She goes on to talk about how you have to close yourself off from the negative noise. Because we all know, that once you put it out there that you're going to make a move -- everyone has something to say about it. My opinion: if you've never tried to do what I'm trying to do? Shut up and stay in your lane. Yes, your loved ones mean well, but they can take up so much real estate in your head that you won't have room for your dreams and you'll end up talking yourself out of them.

Each episode comes with an actionable to do item, such as listing out personal and business goals and creating vision boards for your life.

I think this is going to be a really good podcast series for those that are looking to change their lives. By episode 2, she's really dropping gems, because sometimes you don't know, what you don't know. And best of all, it's FREE! People that are out here doing things are so reluctant to even give you a starting point. But with the experience that Mimi G. has, she's giving you running start to success. So, I would advise you to check it out.
