City Shorts II

Project Details

Pattern: Simplicity 4135
Fabric: 98% cotton/2% spandex

Modifications/Alterations:
I like this pattern so much that I did another pair of shorts. Can you have too many? I think not. This time I decided not to include the pockets because they sometimes will not lie flat on us curvy girls. I think I like this pair better than the first because of the fabric. Even though I love the feel of the cotton twill used on the first pair, this fabric has a tiny percentage of spandex and the difference is felt. They feel a little more roomier.
Ready to dig out the yarn...
Have you seen the July edition of Magknits? Alexandra Virgiel has a new pattern - Ballet Camisole. A few months back, I knitted her Soleil pattern. Her patterns are very well written and quite easy to follow. I think this is a really cute top that can be worn now with a flowy skirt and layered when the weather cools. On the Berroco site, I found a crocheted cardigan that has a lot of possibility... it's the Twyla Cardigan. I don't know what it is about this sweater, but it just appeals to me. I doubt seriously if I'll use a round button that size, maybe a smaller one or even a toggle.
