Happy Holidays!
12:00 AM
I hope you all are having a fabulous holiday season. Our Christmas was awesome. I'm completely exhausted... but it's that good exhaustion from being completely overwhelmed with the ones you love. I always welcome being tired from enjoying family and good food! And during this entire holiday period, I kept the dressing really cute and casual. I wanted to look like I cared enough to put forth effort, without looking overdone. I was asked to review an item from 3Wishes.com.
I'd never heard of the site, so I checked it out. It's a site that specializes in clubwear, sexy costumes and lingerie. I challenged myself to find something on the site that I could work into my lifestyle wardrobe. And I found this cute red Off the Shoulder Minidress. Now granted, I'd NEVER wear this as a dress. That's not me to be running around with my backside barely covered. If that's your thing and you have the appropriate venue, rock it! But I hung up my club shoes many years ago. So I decided that this really cute off the shoulder number would work much better in my wardrobe as a tunic. This girl needs pants! But with New Year's Eve rapidly approaching and Valentine's Day right behind, there are some amazing options for "private times". Or, just pamper yourself!
I really like this piece, and the color red was perfert for this Christmas weekend And I paired it with my recent McCall's 6404 faux leather leggings, that I plan to wear until they literally fall apart. And I can see myself shuffling it around my wardrobe in different ways. I envision wearing it with white jeans also.
No outfit is complete without great jewelry. Mine is from this month's Rocksbox set.

Necklace: Slate Beyond The Horizon Necklace
Ring: Gorjana Elea Ring in Silver
And last but not least, I must thank Team Bunker (Michael and Mikaela). These two keep this blog going. Without them, there would be no pictures and no sewing time. I've always had the most supportive family. They ALL "get me". My husband and kids have never thought that sewing and blogging was silly or frivolous. They know this is what I do and they get on board. I'm always asked how do I get so much sewing done. Because of them! If I need pictures, they're there. If I'm doing an event or speaking engagement, they're there! I appreciate them so much! If you're doing something you love, I hope you're surrounded by people that get you too and never invalidate your passions!
Happy Holidays!

DeleteIt is so wonderful to have people who "get" the sewing passion or unquestionably support that creative endeavor and its even more wonderful when you live with those people! I have the same support. Just wanted to let you know how inspiring your blog is and its really sweet to see the team behind it! Btw I went to school in Birmingham and my husband graduated from U of Alabama so your "roll tide" comments always make me smile!
