The Anitra Jumpsuit from Style Sew Me!

Style Sew Me Anitra Jumpsuit - Erica Bunker DIY Style
First of all, kudos to Eryn and her power of influence! Because years ago,  I swore up and down that I would never be caught dead in saggy-diaper-looking harem anything. Yet, here I stand in this jumpsuit. And loving every minute of it!

Who knew droopy-butt could look so chic?! I believe I'm a new convert to this style.

I wore this on yesterday... yes, I actually wore this... no playing dress up for the sake of blog/IG pics... I put this on and rolled out! It was really chilly, so I rocked it with my gold leather jacket. I did however change into a flat shoe for shopping. As much as I love these shoes, they're not really practical for maneuvering the aisles at Home Depot!

For the Anitra Jumpsuit - I cut the size large. I probably could have gone with the size medium. But I like the way the bodice drapes off of the shoulder and it also provides enough width to step in and out of.

Eryn suggested a basic yardage amount of 3.5 yard. I knew for a style like this that my fabric needed to be super drapey. I found this knit jersey, which I believe is probably an ITY at Joann's. I like the subtle print and love the way it drapes. The print and hand of the fabric compliment this design perfectly.

The bodice goes together in mere minutes. I stabilized my neckline because I didn't want it to become stretched out.

Eryn provides a step-by-step video tutorial which I used to get a clear understanding of how the pants are constructed.

The jumpsuit has pockets and an elastic waist. I lengthened my bodice by an inch just to make sure there was enough fabric to blouse over the waistband.

Needless to say, this is my new piece to throw on go!
