What I Wore: The Iron Bowl 2012 | Houndstooth!

5:30 PM

Crimson Tide 4th Quarter!

I hope everyone's Thanksgiving weekend was amazing!  My family and I had a great time.  It was topped off with an amazing Iron Bowl win for The University of Alabama!  Roll Tide, Roll!!!  And as a true S.E.C. girl, I repped my school colors by rocking my McCall's 5766 houndstooth coat to the game.
If you didn't already know, houndstooth joined the crimson and white as the unofficial third color of the Alabama Crimson Tide.  So this is what I grab for on crisp autumn gameday!
In addition to my coat, I wore Nine West Vintage America Skinny Jeans (perfect for wearing with boots); BCBG black suede boots (similar to these); a black cashmere turtleneck; a black pashmina scarf; and my "pop of crimson" red bag.

  2. Cute outfit! Only thing that's lacking is shakers stuck in your boots (kidding). I'm so jealous of everyone who went to that game. Roll Tide!

  6. I absolutely love your jacket! Where did you get that houndstooth fabric? I've been looking for fabric with a large houndstooth print everywhere and I can't find any!

    1. Allison, I don't remember the online vendor. I bought the fabric in 2008. Thanks!

Erica, I haven't been around blogland much of late but did stop in today and noticed you have Sponsorship info up. I say, it's about time! You deserve to make some money off this blog. You obviously put a lot of time and effort into it and you provide so much information and knowledge for FREE. Best of luck on gaining sponsors!

Also, I'm just starting out with my sewing machine so I know virtually nothing, lol. Your coat is fabulous!
