What I'm Wearing | My version of "Country Chic"!

Today, we ventured out to the country to our favorite Christmas tree farm that we've been buying our trees from for years.
I can't believe some of the prices that I've seen for live trees ($100+) and they're already dry!  There is nothing like sawing down your own tree.  You know it's fresh and needles won't be all over the place before Christmas!
This is Simplicity 2812.  I love this jacket!  This is my go-to jacket that I've been pulling from the closet every since I made it for any type of outdoor activity I'm involved in.  I love the styling of this jacket... it's very "country-chic" and most importantly it's warm!

Time for some Sunday Night Sewing!

Did you innerline or insulate the jacket in anyway, or was it already insulated when you purchased it?

Faye, that quilted fabric was pretty insulated.

You made me smile:-) Definitely more chic than country! Your jacket reminds me of the burberry quilted jackets that are a classic.

I love the way you've styled these pictures, especially the tractor background. Your jacket looks comfortable and classy and warm! It's 28 degrees here this morning--I could certainly use a warm jacket today. Brava

Thanks Judidarling! It was in the mid 40s yesterday. I'm not ready for 20 degree weather yet. Brrrrrrrrr!

Love your country chic look!
Around here the prices for live pine trees become outrageous. I remember when I was little my parents would always get a live Christmas tree sawing it their selves with our "help", it was a family thing. These days it's just not viable, and we have no option but to get a fake tree :(
