I found this "little gold diamonds on black knit" fabric at Hancock.  It's 92% poly/8% spandex and has to be hand washed.  My serger did not like this fabric - - AT ALL.  I may need to replace my knives.  I used a zig zag stitch and didn't bother finishing the sleeves or hemming.
I finished the neckline with a handsewn blind stitch.  When I tested a swatch, I didn't like the way a machine hem looked on the fabric.

And Simplicity 2054 was currently in my pattern stash and I thought it would fit the bill perfectly.
Worn with boots and necklace, both from BCBG; and clutch (can also be converted to a crossbody) from Nine West.

I used a faux leather that I found at Hancock.  It has a great deal of stretch and was perfect for leggings.
I love the seaming detail.  It's what set this version apart from the other.  It's topstitched 1/4" from the seam edge.
I haven't actually measured, but the leg opening seem smaller on this version than the other pair I made.
And I also love the trendy aspect of the zippered opening being on the inseam instead of the outside.

I can tell you right now this will be a favorite piece for this winter!  I'll be wearing these plenty of times!

These are the famous Vogue 1051 pants that everyone that sews has pretty much made.

I took a modicum of inspiration from the Net-A-Porter.com styling and added a bright sweater (I prefer v-necks), Ralph Lauren chocolate brown suede ankle boots and my cognac colored leather hobo from Steve Madden.
Lesson learned:  I already had what I've been looking for.  This goes for a TNT pants pattern and life!

I've been seeing a lot of metallic sweaters this season.  And they're not just for festive holiday wear.  I used Simplicity 1972 for this one.
For the gathering in the sleeves I used clear elastic and I decided to not make the belt.

I wore my black, slim-fit Simplicity 2315 pants, with a Missoni for Target t-shirt, Gap denim jacket and Steve Madden wedges.
I love the zipper details of my pants.  And this is the first time I've worn these shoes for an entire day and they're extremely comfortable.
Even though everything in me said to stay home and "take to the bed", I got dressed and got out (and bought some sale patterns... hehe!).  Sun and retail therapy... it's good for what ails you!

I used McCall's 2255, view A, minus the side slit.  I used French seams since this is silk and a narrow hem.  I used 1" elastic for the waist because that's what I had in my stash.  And as with any bias cut garment, I let it hang overnight before hemming.
